This site is designed for clients
who are referred to us by
their child's Agent or Manager,
their acting teacher or vocal coach,
or by a past client of mine.
We do not solicit clients
over the Internet or in the Newspaper.
A fun place to visit for kids-
this is a helpful, informative site for parents.
I hope you have fun reading the newsletter.
See what the kids have been up to lately.
If you and your child are new to the business,
we want to make getting a great headshot easy.
Please scroll through the Links Page-
you will find many helpful links to the industry.
I've asked the kids to send me a quote.
I think it's important
to hear what they have to say.
This site is for informational purposes only.
It does not constitute, legal, financial
or any other type of professional advice.
Where will we shoot?
I travel to these locations-
Headshots in Bronxville- NY, Chester- NY,
Wyckoff- NJ, Bucks County- PA & Branford- CT.
I've found that New York agents and managers
have come to love and prefer natural daylight shots,
so I started doing more and more location shoots,
- like we did back in LA.
I have many favorite locations in and around
New York City, Westchester, NJ., CT., and PA.
I find that the kids are more relaxed
and get a natural, un-posed shot with daylight.
I like using the wide range
of outdoor backdrops, and scenery
so that every headshot can be unique.
Studio lights are always available
and even preferred for certain shoots-
like some model portfolio shots,
corporate headshots,
family portraits, and pet portraits,
and shooting with small children and babies.
Ask your agent/ manager which they prefer.
How much will this cost?
Please contact me for current prices.
Private shoots are available
- at your location or mine.
I offer Share-a-shoot with a friend rates & group-day rates, for parents that want/need to save money.
I am always glad to do lite make-up and hair for kids and teens.
A Make-up artist is available at an additional cost.
A clothing stylist also.
Printing costs run about one dollar per headshot.
Most submissions are done via the web,
so you only need to print multiple copies of one 8x10 headshot.
We will also supply you
with web files of your finished headshots.
You may also want several others for web viewing.
Finished files can be used for web-submissions
and also on your child's casting web pages.
Black & White or Color?
Most clients are printing color 8x10 reproductions.
Digital files are color, but the finished product
can also be saved as a B/W file
-used for Playbill entries, publicity photos, and press.
Here are the black and white and color versions
of Heather's 2008 shot.

When you are ready to order your prints,
I will give you a list of trusted printers.
Before your session
Discuss clothing with your child's manager/agent.
Every agent has specific requests-
what they do and do not like.
Certain hair-dos, preferred poses...
Look at the choices my clients made.
The clothes should not take away from the face.
It is very important that they fit well,
especially around the neck area,
Have your child try them on
and look in the mirror!
Make sure they are steamed/ironed and in good condition.
Stay away from LOGOs. Keep it simple.
Logos can usually be removed in retouching.
For color shots-
pick colors that compliment your child.
I will help you with light make-up and hair,
and give you suggestions about clothing.
If you are doing modeling shots,
I will have my stylist available, for an additional charge.

Please Wear Carmex, or your favorite lip balm,
starting 2 days before your session.
Find it at any drug store.
Commercial or Legit shot?
Another question for your agent...
Ask them specifically what types of shots
they would like of your child.
I always try to shoot a variety of shots
--close-up (face shots), 3/4 (body shots),
Legit (for TV and Movie auditions)
and Commercial (for TV and commercial auditions).
When it comes to lighting,
that is also a choice.
I am experienced in all types of lighting,
and I find that right now,
most agents prefer natural daylight.
Here are Commercial and Legit shots
of Isabel and Nicholas.

Most clients start out by choosing one Legit
head shot, and printing 100 (8x10) copies.
Some choose a commercial, smile shot also.
Children that will be doing print work (modeling),
can also print a (6x9) model comp card
with their agent's logo on it.
Composite (8x10)s
& MODEL comp cards are also available

Family Portraits are available
for framing and greeting cards.
