Working permits for Children
New York
Apply online at:www.labor.state.ny.us
The state of NY requires that all children performers
(minors under 18 years of age)
who either reside in the state of NY or work in the state of NY,
obtain a television work permit and trust account.
A temporary 15 day work permit can be obtained on-line.
This is a one-time deal only!
Parents must read and follow the directions carefully
on how to obtain a permanent work permit.
Permanent work permits are valid for 6 months/
must be renewed every 6 months.
It is the parents' responsibility
to renew the work permit and keep it current!
California

Generally, NYC public schools do not begin specializing until high school,
so it's unlikely you'll find a middle school with that kind of academic emphasis.
